Knauf Insulation is delighted to announce that since 2010 it has reduced its energy use by 20.9% and cut CO2 emissions by 25.1% — achieving this year two of its core 2020 sustainability targets, four years ahead of schedule.
These headline figures are just two of the highlights featured in the company’s annual publication Insulation Matters that can be downloaded here.
The magazine also showcases Knauf Insulation’s pioneering developments over the past year, including:
“Every page of this publication demonstrates how we are rising to the global challenge of climate change by ensuring energy efficiency in buildings is at the heart of everything we do,” said Siân Hughes, Knauf Insulation’s Director of External Affairs. “Throughout our company, through investment, continuous improvement and commitment at every level, we have also challenged ourselves to do our jobs better. Not only have we seen our energy use and CO2 emissions fall below the 20% targets we set for 2020, but we have seen Lost Time Accidents fall by a third from 2015 to 2016 and our waste to landfill drop by 54% since 2010. Furthermore, we have created new initiatives for our customers driven by standards of excellence in service, sales and product quality.”
“Many of these developments are new, but Knauf Insulation remains proud its history of excellence that extends back — in the case of Heraklith Wood Wool — 110 years. We remain proud to be dynamic family-owned company that continues to invest in opportunities that strengthen our position as a leading player in the global insulation market.”
